OUD Velvet Mood at Suria KLCC: the Ground Floor pop-up ends 7 September

The Maison Francis Kurkdjian pop-up on Suria KLCC Ground Floor is a short window. Official mall copy says it runs until 7 September 2026. Register on the spot and you leave with a complimentary 2ml OUD Velvet Mood sample, while stocks last. The permanent boutique stays on Level 1 after the pop-up comes down.

What OUD Velvet Mood actually smells like

This is not a new house. Francis Kurkdjian has worked oud since 2012, and OUD Velvet Mood sits in the fabric-named Extraite line next to OUD Satin Mood and OUD Silk Mood. The 2026 extrait, according to the maison and to coverage in Hypebeast and Esquire UK, is built around raw oud wood, peach, osmanthus and a suede accord. Kurkdjian has said he wanted the feel of desert sand after dark in Liwa, in the Persian Gulf, translated into a scent that reads like velvet on skin rather than a loud incense bomb.

Suria KLCC's own page is thinner on notes. It talks about rare oud wood and desert sands. Trust the maison for the formula and the mall page for where to stand in the building. If the two disagree on poetry, that is fine. They agree on the product name and the floor.

The Ground Floor sample, then Level 1 if you want the bottle

The pop-up is the tasting room. The boutique is the shop. Suria KLCC is explicit: samples are for people who register at the pop-up, not a free-for-all at the till, and they run out. Terms apply. If you already know you want a full bottle, walk up to Level 1. The house sells the extrait in 35ml and 70ml. UK press in early September quoted £225 and £360. Those are sterling figures from Harrods and the official site, not a Suria price list. Ask the KLCC counter for ringgit before you assume a conversion.

The bottle is the dark, faceted cube with the gold cap and the double-K stamp. That is the visual you will see on the Ground Floor graphics: three Extraite cubes on sand-coloured stone, Velvet in the middle. If you only have ten minutes between Isetan and the LRT, that is the object to look for.

How this sits in the mall this week

7 September is a Sunday. Suria KLCC's default hours are 10:00 to 22:00. The Ground Floor is the first shopping level most visitors hit after the Concourse, so the pop-up is not a hidden unit on Level 4. Pair it with a Level 1 loop if you also need the full wardrobe, Baccarat Rouge 540 included. The mall's January 2026 New Year special on Baccarat was a different promotion and is over. Do not quote that GWP as live.

I would not plan a special trip from Petaling Jaya solely for a 2ml vial. I would detour if I was already in the towers. The pop-up ends tomorrow if you are reading this on 6 September, so there is no second weekend.
