Came for late brunch. Asked for a window table but those were either 'reserved' or occupied. Ended sitting behind a Malay group who either did not understand the concept of quiet luxury, manners or respect, making so much noise n inconveniences to us n other diners. The fact that the servers did not try to calm them down costed this place a star, coz the atmosphere, servicd level, decor n price were on the higher side of the spectrum. Other than that, service attention, food n ambience were excellent.. the orders came quite fast, both plates n our dishes were warm/hot as opposed to some reviews that said the food were cold etc. The servers were attentive n as we ate, more patrons came in but still there were many table available. Taste wise, my unagi dish was above average in terms of presentation, portion n taste.. I quite liked it while my wife did say the broth was a bit less thick than the menu picture, portion n taste wise were acceptable. Our desert, the watermelon cake was the highlight here as it had so many things going n not too sweet to boot. Though the watermelon itself was not sweet at all, the overall cake layers made up for it n we savoured the dish rather quickly. overall, really recommended dining place, fitting the image of Pavillion, serving unique, high level n interesting experience.
