The iconic nyonya peranakan restaurant. We had Nasi Lemak Curry Chicken, Chicken Satay, Curry Laksa , and Char Kway Teow they are so delicious. The laksa is sour and savory. The chicken satay was smoked to perfection. Overall, the food was clean and decent but quite pricey. Service was quick and friendly.

One of the better madam kwan outlets. Ordered the Nasi Lemak beef rendang and the beef was so tender, sambal delicious. Rice is rich in coconut milk taste. Dessert portions larger than expected. …

Quality of food has dropped quite a bit. The sambal on the plate of nasi lemak was so measly. When asked for more. The waiter said we had to pay extra… what?? …

Bang on average. When we arrived for breakfast, I asked politely if could we have the coffees straight away and was met with a frosty face and a QR code slapped on the table. Mea culpa! The BBQ honey chicken kolo mee would have been delicious had it been piping hot but it was lukewarm and the taro butter toast with the additional egg, not cooked as requested was frankly, cold. The best bit was the honey lemon tea! Disappointing.

The Assam laksa is the best in Malaysia. The claypot glass noodle with soft shell crab and the crispy chicken rice are also very good. The service is fast and the place has a cozy atmosphere although it has lots of people dining here

The nasi lemak (both beef rendang and curry chicken versions) was good! But they don't have chili for the nasi lemak. However, you can ask for sambal belacan which is also quite good. …
